The objective of this study is the depollution of contaminated water by a new generation of flexible and magnetic gelled beads based on sodium alginate, iron-bridged clay, ferrofluid and/or iron (oxy)hydroxides The prepared beads were characterized by physicochemical (diameter, density, pHPZC), diffractometric and X-ray fluorescence (XRD, FX) methods for Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic (FTIR) mineralogical analysis to identify chemical bonds and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to determine morphology. The adsorption modeling parameters of Pb and/or Cd were determined in simple singlecomponent systems then in competition with methyl green (VM) dye. The study is carried out by varying the molar ratio (Cd/VM) and/or (Pb/VM) on alginate beads based on iron-bridged Algerian montmorillonite and ferrofluids (FF). In simple single-component systems, the adsorption kinetics of VM and Cd are second order while that of Pb is first order. Modeling by Langmuir and Freundlich models show that Langmuir model adapts better to experimental results with very high adjustment coefficients (R2≥…).fr_FR
