This work was focused on a comparative study of the optical characteristics between two types of glass, the Titanium-based MEDIREFLECT (Ti, TiOx ...) and the Niobium-based MEDIREFLECT (NbOx) in the aim to improve their optical and energetic properties all while maintaining their qualitative properties. After reviewing the literature on Ti and Nb-based glasses and taking into consideration the desired properties such as transmission, reflection, refractive index, thermal conductivity and light absorption capacity, the samples were characterized through different techniques to evaluate their optical and energetic properties. Tests had been made, one of them being the resistance of abrasion and corrosion, UV aging, thermal quenching test, salt spray ... etc. The results have showed that the NbOx-based MEDIREFLECT led to the improvement of the qualitative properties while maintaining the energetic, optical and durability properties.fr_FR
