Abstract: According to the analysis and forecasts of air traffic in recent years in FIR Algeria, it was found that the Algerian airspace is becoming increasingly saturated having experienced a spectacular expansion. This research focuses on the optimization of the airspace existing more precisely in Algerian airspace, particularly by exploring current trends in air traffic management including “FRA (free route airspace) and FUA (flexible use of airspace)” and a thorough analysis for the flow of oriented traffic and the west-east course, uninterrupted met with various challenges, including the civilian-military coordination at the level of the 7 existing sectors, at the national or international level. The optimization of the space and the improvement of the route network proved necessary in order to ensure a high level of aircraft safety and greater flexibility of this space.
