Abstract

Les campus universitaires ont toujours été un facteur de production d’urbanité et de qualité spatiale ; or en Algérie nous constatons l’inverse ; l’implantation de celle-ci n’a pas conduit au même résultat, bien au contraire ; ainsi le besoin aujourd’hui de renouvellement de la ville sur elle-même et vu le foncier important que prennent ces projets nous mènent à étudier les mécanismes permettant le développement des formes urbaines à partir des campus universitaires.

The university campuses have been always a factor paving the way for urban production and for spatial quality. But it's not the case in Algeria; conversely, the implantation of these campuses didn't come up with the same result. The need for the city's renewal, and taking into consideration the important lands that require these projects, lead us to study the mechanisms permetting the development of the urban forms, starting from the university campuses.
