Abstract: This project presents a comprehensive simulation of 5G communications for drones and autonomous aircraft under realistic conditions. An interactive MATLAB-based interface was developed to model radio performance across four representative environments: urban, rainy suburban, snowy rural, and foggy mountainous. Four propagation models (Ikewa, Friis, ITU-R P.676, and ITU-R P.530) are implemented to evaluate three key metrics: received power, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and data rate. Results show that Friis and ikewa models provide more accurate estimations of losses in degraded environments, effectively complementing classical models. This approach offers a relevant tool to anticipate 5G communication limitations in autonomous contexts and optimize radio links according to terrain and weather conditions.
