Abstract: In the face of growing climate change impacts, architectural design must ensure thermal comfort while sustainably integrating nature. This thesis explores how a university library at the Institute of Architecture, Blida 1, can be redesigned to improve indoor and outdoor thermal comfort. Using a biophilic design approach, climate analysis, user surveys, and ENVI-met microclimate simulations, various intervention scenarios were tested. Results demonstrate that green roofs and vertical greenery significantly enhance thermal performance. This research proposes an integrated, sustainable, and user-centered strategy for educational buildings.
