Résumé: This thesis explores the need for an integrated approach to security risk assessment in mission-oriented systems of systems (SoS). It highlights the shortcomings of traditional approaches that focus on individual system components and overlook the interconnected nature of SoS. To address this gap, the thesis advocates for a holistic perspective that considers the interdependencies and interconnectivity within the SoS. The proposed approach integrates various disciplines and methodologies, such as system engineering, cybersecurity, risk management, and system-of-systems engineering. It employstechniques like system modeling, vulnerability analysis, and impact assessment to thoroughly evaluate security risks within the SoS context. By embracing this integrated approach, organizations can strengthen the resilience, robustness, and security of their mission-oriented systems of systems. The study emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive comprehension of security risks and the necessity for well-informed decision-making to ensure the successful execution of critical missions in a dynamic and challenging environment. Overall, this thesis provides a valuable contribution to the field by underscoring the significance of an integrated approach for security risk assessment in mission-oriented systems of systems. It offers insights and recommendations tailored to practitioners and decision-makers in this domain.
