Résumé:
The thesis proposes reconfigurable antenna designs with combined frequency and patternreconfigurable characteristics. The main focus is first to examine the exploitation of a singleelement antenna structure. An optimization procedure including a study of relevant designparameters is also presented. The structure has a controllable active component that allows theantenna to be tuned to different operating frequencies which is the Varactor diode. Next, thethesis focuses on the manipulation of near-resonant current distributions in a two-element array antenna based on the same operation principle, as well as the optimization of their feedingthrough T-junction power dividers. The core contribution for the two-element array and thesingle-element antenna is that they combine frequency-reconfigurability with effective beamscanning.
