Résumé:
Aviation technology is being developed on the basis of aircraft navigation and communicational operations. To ensure safe and efficient communication and navigation for aircrafts, airborne communication antennas require to be highly omnidirectional and well matched to their corresponding transceiver alongside antenna design must focus on minimizing aerodynamic drag force during flight. Furthermore, antennas must be developed to cope with
environmental phenomena such as static charge build-up, lightning, erosion and water ingress.
Aside all these requirements, installation should be simple so that maintenance is easy. Blade antenna is a variety widely used in the VHF, UHF because of their low drag design, light weight material.
In this work, we plan to design a new type of antenna meeting on the one side the electromagnetic radiation requirements such as: omnidirectional radiation pattern, high gain with vertical polarization, on the other side the aerodynamic and installation requirements. As
this antenna will be mounted on the aircraft, the study will focus on the possibility of exploiting the location to improve the radiation properties of the antenna-fuselage combination.
