Résumé:
Cement plays an essential role as a binder in many construction and engineering applications.
Trends in today’s world is looking for more resistant and more efficient materials. As a result,
cementitious additions are currently among the most recent developments in cement
production, as their uses improve the mechanical properties of cementitious materials. It is in
this context that this study was conducted. It aims to develop a new cement based on blast
furnace slag. In this context, this study was conducted with the aim of developing a new
cement based on blast furnace slag, for this we used diffrent percentages
20%,25%,30%,40%,50%.
The analysis of the results reveals that the 20% ratio stands out as the most optimal in terms
of mechanical resistance at different ages of hardening (2 days, 7 days, 28 days). particularly,
at 28 days, an exceptional mechanical resistance of 42.9 mPa was observed, demonstrating
the superiority of this ratio in the cement's performance.
Based on these results, it was found that the quantity of slag added is a parameter that
influences the chemical and physical-mechanical properties of the cement.
