Résumé:
The objective of this work is the study of the in fluence of the presence of pentaclorophenol
PCP on the competitive adsorption of to lueneandxylene of the Toluene/PCP and Xylene/PCP molar
ratio on an Algerian clay intercalated with iron andmodifiedbyCTAB cetyltrimethyl ammonium
bromidemolecules.
ThepreparedmaterialsarecharacterizedbeforeandafteradsorptionbyFourierTransformInfrared
Spectroscopy(IRFT).
The adsorption kinetics of Toluene, Xylene and PCP are second order (R
2
>0.99).
In binary systems the adsorption of toluene on the two matrices Bentonite-Fe-CTABand
Mont-Fe-CTAB in the presence of PCP increases with the toluene / PCP ratio and there tention of
xylene on these two matrices decreases with the xylene/PCP.
