This thesis explores the optimization of an integrated renewable energy system for energy selfsufficiency
in
a
rural
farm
in
El
Djelfa,
Algeria.
The
research
encompasses
the
sizing
of
solar
water
heaters
and
solar
pumping
systems
using
PVsyst
software.
Additionally,
a
study
is
conducted
using HOMER Pro software to determine the most cost-effective hybrid
system, considering CO2 emissions. the system proposed, consisted of renewable energy
sources such as PV, wind turbines, and batteries, resulting in zero emissions. The findings
highlight the effectiveness of the optimized system in achieving energy self-sufficiency
while minimizing costs and environmental impact. The research contributes to the broader
understanding and practical implementation of integrated renewable energy systems,
promoting energy independence, sustainability, and reduced emissions in rural farm
settings. |
