Résumé:
One of the applications of metamaterials are AMC (artificial magnetic conductors). The latter
have very interesting electromagnetic properties for wireless applications. They make it possible,
among other things, to improve the performance of patch antennas by suppressing the propagation
of surface waves. The objective of this project is to improve the radiation and matching performance
of a dual-band patch antenna. The latter was first designed, simulated and optimized with the CST
Microwave Studio Suite software. Then, a promising 3x7 AMC array was identified and integrated into
the previously designed antenna. The antenna structure thus composed (antenna + AMC) displays an
improvement in gain and matching compared to the antenna alone.
